We walked outside

This weekend we had gorgeous weather in the SLC.  On Saturday afternoon it was warm enough to go for a walk outside in our sweatshirts - no coats required!  The sun was shining, people were out on bikes & sitting on patios, kids were running around their yards, everyone enjoying the Spring teaser.

Now, these pictures don't seem like much and certainly don't do justice to how beautiful the weather felt this weekend...but that's not the point.  I took them while I was on a walk! Outside! Without a coat! (also note: do you see any snow in these pictures?  huh uh.)

It's the little things...

Do you wish you had an iPhone cover as cool as this one?  Well, then, I reckon you should visit Society 6 and come hang out with the cool kids.

Surely spring is coming, don't you think?

It's that point in the year where we are sure that talking about it, wishing for it, and dressing for it will be enough to make it true.  Spring fever has officially arrived.

If a picture is worth a thousand words....

...then I'll keep this short.

I finally uploaded 6 months of photos from my iPhone onto my laptop.  I'm going to start sharing some of my favey faves.

My pleasure, really.

About a week and a half ago I was fortunate enough to turn 32.  Wow.  How lucky I am to be in my thirties - healthy, happy, and loved.  I can't think of a time in my life that I would return to in exchange for this time right now.

If I could visit myself in my early 20's I would whisper to her and say:

someday you will know your own strength
you will understand what it means to be loved, without condition
you will pay off those credit cards and student loans that make your head hurt
you will capture happiness in laughing with amazing friends
you will like beer and love wine.  yes, really.
you will discover that life is more fun with an iPhone
you will love and miss your family more fiercely than ever
you will take risks that scare you, and you will know that it's worth it
you will feel beautiful as you are.  because you are.
hang in there, it gets better every year and you have so much to look forward to.

I Heart Mexico

I feel so lucky that we were able to take a week long vacation to Mexico this month.  It was a much needed break from the bustle of real life and the cold of winter.  We were completely unplugged, meaning no internet, no cell phone, no blackberry, and we never knew what time it was.

We spent most of our time relaxing on the beach sipping tropical drinks.  We played a lot of cards and ate our fair share of chips, salsa, and guacamole!

It was an amazing vacation and I'm still trying to recover from the shock of returning to reality.  Why can't I hear the waves crashing on the beach when I'm falling asleep?  Where are Hilario and Amery, I'm waiting for my mojito!  What is that awful noise waking me up at 5:30 in the morning?  Alarm clock...I hate you.

I have a photo of the ocean as the screen saver on my iPhone and I look at it hundreds of times a day.  That's when you know you had a fantastic vacation and enjoyed it to the fullest - when you have a really hard time letting it go.

30 Must-See Tumblr Blogs

You may have already caught site of this article, but if not, take a look.  If you like reading blogs, seeing creative ideas, cool photos, and just generally love the deep well of awesomeness found on the Internet, then you should take some time to peruse these blogs.  Time Magazine listed the 30 Must-See Tumblr Blogs and believe you me, they are cool.  I think it's pretty amazing how the accessibility and affordability of sharing ideas online has given so many creative people a platform to share, inspire, and entertain us.

I'm still making my way through them, but so far my favorite is The Burning House.
