Hola Mexico!

Hola Mexico,
Thanks for inviting us to come see you again for my birthday in February. We are so excited to come back to your hot, hot, sun and relaxing lifestyle. We're going to bring some friends with us this time. It's going to be lovely...and hot. I'm very excited for the hot.

Love,
The Poulsons

Let's Go UUUUUUUtes!

Many Thanks

To the JFK airport for being unusually easy to get through
To NYC for not raining on my parade, not one drop
To Tyler for bringing me home to a clean house

For sunny mornings
For morning coffee
For my cozy little home

That turkey is not the best part about Thanksgiving dinner
That seeing Tay and Brenna today is going to fill up my heart
That I have 4 days away from the office

gobble gobble.

Mammoth Furniture from Z Gallerie

We scored an amazing deal on our sofa and chair for our living room. We bought the floor models of the Mammoth Sofa and Chair from Z Gallerie. We got both for 50% off! They are the most comfortable pieces of furniture we've ever had. The sofa is 4ft deep, perfect for a cozy movie night with my husband.

The chair is by far my favorite. I spend as much time as I can being engulfed by it's enormous comfiness.

Sunday, lovely Sunday

This is the coziest Sunday we've had in awhile. Lately it seems like we have a never ending list of things to do, items to shop for, surfaces to clean. Today we are enjoying the sunshine and the snow topped mountains that we can see from our condo, and just relaxing. Ahh.

We are getting closer and closer to having a completely furnished home. Our bedroom is the next big project. Here are some pictures of our living room and bathrooms.

We had some people over last night to watch the Utah football game (no comment), and celebrate Natalie's Birthday. Isn't she a beautiful birthday girl?! Happy Birthday, Nat!

The Kitchen

Here are some "before" pictures of our kitchen, where we made the most changes.  The first thing we did was remove the wall that separated the kitchen from the living room.

We replaced all of the appliances, the sink, and the counter top.  We also updated the hardware on the cabinets, raised the ceiling, and replaced that big fluorescent panel light with recessed lighting.
Oh, and we replaced the tile with bamboo.

This is just after construction, we were only waiting for the new counters.

This is now.  We are done painting and the only thing left on our list is to do the tile back splash.

We really love our recycled glass counter tops.  They are sooo pretty!

Tripping

Well, hello little blog.
So sorry you've been neglected all these weeks.   You see, we have moved and are living in chaos.  I can't find anything when I need it, yet I trip over everything when I don't need it.

I know I promised to feed you some pictures of our new home.  But.  Well.  Um.  I just don't have them yet!  The reason I don't have them is that our home is a mess and I refuse to take "look at me" photos until it is presentable.  We're working on it.  (all the time, trust me)

To win your forgiveness, I have some substitute pictures.  In early October we took a trip to Las Vegas with Tyler's amazing parents, his sister Natalie, and our brother in law Craig.  We had a blast.
